Philosophy
First, and foremost, we want to back brilliant ventures.
In some cases we facilitate deals (bringing the ingredients together, structuring deals), while in others, we provide funding. In doing so, and to align ourselves with our investors, we strive to co-invest.
We stand behind what we do. We are hands on, if and when required. We are keen to build a team that can structure, support and manage ventures. We all are committed as executives, or board directors.
One size does not fit all: our involvement is adapted to the circumstances - whether a deal is smaller or bigger. Our objective is to build long term relations.
Saphir is an investment boutique also offering specialised services in the fields of Private Equity, M&A advisory, Divestitures and Structured Finance. Our focus is broad, recent deals ranged from industrial development to real estate through to the internet.

Patrick Hansen
Throughout his twenties, Patrick started and sold several internet start ups (including one to Monster). Along the way, he earned a MBA from McGill in Canada, before heading to Moscow to grow Deloitte and Fortis / Mees Pierson´s Russian presence. Since 2006, he runs EDISON, an M&A boutique which he founded. He has done numerous deals across Europe, Russia and Asia - primarily in the oil & gas, aviation and real estate industries. He also keeps himself busy with a private jet firm and a social network site. He is married and father of two girls.
